Meet Dr. Emma Long, PT, DPT
Founder & Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist at Terra Pelvic Health
My Approach to Care
I believe the best care starts with listening. I take a trauma-informed, whole-person approach by looking beyond your symptoms to understand what may be contributing to them. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported every step of the way. I want you to leave each session feeling empowered, with a better understanding of your body and confidence in your healing journey.
My Background & Clinical Focus
I earned my BA from the University of Colorado before earning my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. My time at CU brought me to Colorado, a place that quickly became home and ultimately where I chose to build Terra Pelvic Health.
I provide individualized pelvic health care for a wide range of concerns, including pelvic pain, bladder and bowel dysfunction, sexual health, endometriosis, and pregnancy and postpartum needs. I have a particular clinical interest in working with women experiencing pelvic pain and pelvic organ prolapse, especially when symptoms are persistent, complex, or affecting quality of life.
Advanced Training
I have advanced training in pelvic health, including pelvic floor dry needling and neuromodulation, pessary fitting and management, menopause, pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercise, and pelvic health considerations in neurological conditions. This advanced education allows me to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s needs.
I also serve as a teaching assistant for Herman & Wallace to help train clinicians new to pelvic health.
Beyond the Clinic
When I'm not in the clinic, you'll usually find me curled up with a good novel, exercising, and spending time with my husband and two dogs. I also love bee photography 🐝 and tackling escape rooms with my husband—we're at 85 rooms and counting!
